HALF DAY EXCURSIONS FROM SOMATHEERAM/MANALTHEERAM /AYURSOMA

NEYYAR DAM


Visit at the elephant rehab center  in a jungle area about 40 minutes drive, to see the washing  by the lake and feeding of the pakiderms , Foreward move to  the deer park, the crocodile rehab center and the Sivananda ashram.
On the way back you can admire the amazing artificial lake and the impressive Neyyar dham.


VARKALA



Varkala has become a must-see tourist destination for those traveling to Kerala. Some call it the new Goa but despite the fact that in recent years it has been filled with tourists from all over the world has maintained, thanks to its rocky cliff conformation, its magical atmosphere...downside the beach without structures above the path full of shops and restaurants, there you can enjoy a beautiful walk with a unique view.
Visit of the Vishnu Janhardana swamy temple, where there are various sculptures of Indian deities and foreward  the papadanasam beach, a sacred beach where it is said that praying there all the sins committed will be forgiven.


TRIVANDRUM



Guided visit at the spectacular palace of the Maharaja of Trevancore then to the Padmanaswamy temple from outside, moving to the central street of Trivandrum to admire the variety of architecture and foreward a visit to the botanical garden, where there are trees and flowers from all over the world. Time for some shopping at the popular market or at the mall.On the way back we will stop for a chai or coffee in an exclusive restaurant that was once the residence of the maharaja's mother.

SUCHINDRAM / KANYAKUMARI


Visit to the Suchindram temple, lunch in a pure veg hotel, boat excursion to the island where you can admire the kumari hamman, the ViveKananda memorial, the statue of Tiruvallam, then back on land to admire the southernmost point of India where the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and the Bengal Sea meets . Visit to the Mahatma Ghandi memorial where part of his ashes are kept, a break for tea and shopping and return in time for dinner.
There is also the possibility of replacing the excursion to the island with a visit to the padmapuram palace.
